Our special Great Grandpa Sheppick

Grandpa Sheppick passed away on June 16th, 2008. What a special day it was to honor him. He IS a great man. We were blessed to know him during our lifetime. To have him honored by the Naval Colorguard, was breathtaking. We will miss him.

His three daughters were there to honor him...
And his great posterity...great grandchildren

June '08

June was another busy month. Wesley's soccer finished up - he was soooooo fun to watch-silly guy!

Then Tolby kept showing his speed in soccer. No one could keep up with him - wowsers.

Gymnastics took up a lot of June, too. Miss Aubs did well in every event, and enjoyed the Summer Games, again. Her team even got a special tour with the SUU gymnastics coach, and their facilities.

And then, of course, she got to show off her flying skills.

She enjoyed having Gma & Gpa Hunt there, and staying in their MotorHome, and riding their bikes around the campground with Mom.

Maura had her dance recital. Boy can she shake her booty. Gma & Gpa Hunt enjoyed her craziness. Best dancer there!

Braden got out of school first part of June, because of his 4.0 GPA he was able to go to Magic Mtn with his Dad and ride roller coasters all day-fun fun.
He participated in the Summer Games, too. Took 2nd in soccer. (dang refs)

We are the wild child!

Last Friday, the kids' school had their "crazy hair day". Tolby decided he wanted to do a mohawk so he could spike his hair for school. So Greg told him he should shave the mohawk in his hair and then when he didn't want it anymore we could just buzz the rest of his hair. Wesley likes to be just like his big brothers............... So, here they are! By the way, Tolby came home right after school on Friday and had me shave off his mohawk. However, Wesley wouldn't let me shave his. So Wesley had his mohawk cut until this morning (Sunday). We shaved it before we got ready for church. He must have still been half asleep when we did it though. In the middle of Sacrament Meeting he touched the top of his head and said with a surprised look on his face, " Hey, my hair is gone!" It was really hard not the laugh out loud.

We now have cabinet doors!

We now have beautiful kitchen cabinet doors. Don't they look so nice! We love them and our whole kitchen. It is great to have so much room!

Our Famous Gymnast!

So, last week Aubrey's gym coach told her that she had seen her on a Utah Summer Games poster at a gym down in St. George where she had gone over the weekend. Aubrey came home from gymnastics all excited to tell me about it. She didn't know many details about the poster other that she was on it. So the next day, I asked her coach for more details. I figured it was probably a poster with lots of different events that they do at the summer games. But I was really interested to see what it looked like. So, last week I decided to email the marketing person over the summer games. I asked if there was any way that we could get one of the posters and gave them a description of what Aubrey looked like. Also, if they could at least email us a picture of the poster and then we could get the poster when we came down in June. After no response for almost a week I decided to email everyone that was over the Summer Games. (ok the three main people) I emailed then early this morning (since there was no one else up as early as I was to email back and forth too.) To my surprise, within about 1/2 hour, I had a response from the Director over the games with an attachment and a great response! He said that all of the posters had been distributed but they would try and track one down for us and if they couldn't find one they would print us a new one. Boy was I excited. I was shocked to see that the poster wasn't just a little shot of her but the entire poster was of her. WOW! how cool is that! Hope you enjoy it. We sure do :)
